Spring?? ++

Hello Wello guys!:)


I havent got class since yesterday and since i've only got one assignment due during easter, I guess I can relax a lot this time. But now Im starting my assignment thinking to finish it up before easter break even starts. And it's only 3000 words.. Phew.. :D

Ok, just a bit of carry on from the last post. The house 27a Leicester Grove celebrate New Year Eve at home with spaghetti and other i couldnt remember. It was the noisiest night ever when our neighbours hit the drum till 3am. I thought I ws going to grow nuts for not being able to fall asleep but i tolerated them since it's a rare celebration.. Basically my ceiling was shaking all the time that night. Did i go anywhere during that holiday? I guess not cuz I had 2 more assignments to do due on the 23rd. Our first day back to school. One assignment i chose to do on reading and another one is sort of the same as Alice's one which requires language analysis. I must be crazy because I remember the deadline of submitting draft was on the 10th and 15th. I started doing my reading assignment 5 days before the draft deadline and I interviewed Tom for Mike's assignment on the 13th! which meant I had only 2 days to do my analysis. Lets just put it this way. I had 2 days to do a 2 weeks worth of assignment. Can you hear how crazy ot sounds? I was taking such a big risk! haha But the feedback from Jane was positive and constructive for reading. She said that it was largely well-written. And for Mike's i only need to put less emphasize on L1 transfer. OK. Honestly, it was such a pressurable moments in doing Mike's one. I spent 2 weeks or more for Alice's! Phewww~~ So, what i did for the final copy was doing my best to modify certain things, backed up my evidence with literature for Mike and adding some analysis for the Reading one. After submission, lets wait for about a month for the results.. ;)

Then, school starts! on the 23rd.. But I was ok with it cuz I thought i was done with holidays already and needed something to do.. :P Now, another issue that I had to settle was my optional modules. I had not registered to any optional modules yet. So, it was hunting time and emailing tutor for mercy..hahaha I was thinking of going to Young Learners module but unfortunately the tutor couldnt accept anymore students because it was too popular and at that time was already full. So, we made an attempt to enter Jane's module of Materials analysis and Design. We bumped into her on our way to the class and she brought us there. The week after we registered to the module and another which is Grammar. Cool!:)

Material class was interesting. Analysis different books for language was fun and the poster presentation that we did was exciting too.. It definitely was useful for teachers who in the future would need to consider the best materials for teaching. And i made a couple of friends too. ++ Oh! Sometimes during a session of materials class, out results for the last 2 assignments were out. I remembered that it was a Wednesday and oh, it was during the poster presentation that people carried brown envelope. I rushed with a couple of friends to Hillary Place and grabbed my envelope! The truth was I was dead terrified for Mike's assignment because i kind of missed out 2 sections from what he had outlined because i thought I had nothing to say about them and also I had exceed my word limit. However, just before I opened the precious I said to God, I will give Thanks no matter how bad it would be or how it wasnt going to be of what I had Hoped. But know what, I almost wiped my glasses again and again when i saw a 68 for one of them. Upon closer look it was actually Mike's assignment!!:D I couldnt believe myself at first and thought, "Could this be mine?" hahaha Despite my fear, it was the best mark I have ever received! and the first thing i did was defo giving Thanks to Jesus for the best He has given. Although my reading assognment was not as good as that, still I was shockingly GLAD..
and so went back to material class with huge smile on my face.. Yiihaa!!! Thanks to God, thanks to Misa and Tom for helping..

Oh yeah, last week on Friday, I was in the first group of students who were going to do Micro Teaching. Plus, I was the second person to start. Hmm, I thought i wanted to do Similes cuz I've done it before in Cardiff and would like to try it again with different group of people. I sooo missed teaching children and very excited to do this. Haha I came early to class that day like 15 minutes earlier? I thought i didnt really work hard to prepare except finding the appropriate pictures took time. And I was pretty nervous at the beginning of class when Jane brought in the video camera and stand..hahaha But when i took over the class and started to teach. It felt like I owned the classroom and all memories of teaching children before came back and flood me. And i didnt really care what people thought about me at the moment but only how much I enjoyed myself and although the fact that my 12 year old kids were actually my own postgrad friends, it didnt make anything much different. I simple LOVED TEACHINGGG!! and now i cant wait to do it againnn.. by receiving positive comments from my peers were a good sign.. :D

Right, i think I have covered almost all the recent things that have been going on. So, hey I better leave some things for next time..
