A visit to Lakeside Primary School..

Well, today i got Science class at 9am..lucky the session started pretty late cuz we missed the first bus around 8.40..so, we gotta catch another bus after 9am..Science class was fun as often although we focussed on the National Curriculum most of the time..we gotta do an activity designated by Christian..haha which required us to stick something on our forehead..whatever..

Anyway, we got welsh class after that..it was easy and fun too..++ right, after 12pm i got another important agenda to be done, which was paying a visit to Lakeside Primary School which was just down the road from Cyncoed campus..So, at about 12.30pm at noon, me and wana walked to the school (which we had no idea where it was..haha) Peter Bartlett told to just turn left went down the road and turn right..so, we followed his advise as best as we could..too bad,Peter couldnt accompany us and i didnt know why..so, we were on our own..


As Peter told us, Lakeside Primary School is a high-class school and the neighbourhood was dwelled by high-class people..well, i could see that..the houses were bigger and the cars were those that are expensive in Brunei..I felt so honoured to be sent to a high-class school although i had to walk there and without knowing where it was..hahaha ++ At last i could hear sounds of pupils screaming and playing so, i guessed we were almost derrr...and here we were...^^



From the outside, i knew that the school got class..i just could tell..haha


We went straight to the receptionist desk and told the lady that we were there..soon, the head teacher,Mrs Liz Counsell who was lovely and friendly and warm came and told us that we were about to be taken into one infant class (aged 6-7) and after that to a junior class (year 6 aged 10-11). Really cant wait for that.._++ We were introduced to the teaching staff at the staffroom and were brought to one of the infant classes where the teacher introduced us to the little kids..sooo cuteee..There we were able to watch them doing activities and even join them while the teacher taught the focussed task..Payah kan cakap di sini..it was such a whole lot of NEW EXPERIENCE!!I wish i could take pictures with the kids but you know the school had this policy about taking pics so i wouldnt risk myself of getting sued..haha as soon as the kids were divided into groups, this girl went straight to wanna and told her that she had been to Turkey and bla bla bla..I was really surprised cuz those kids were very brave and outspoken..Even this little girl named Lowrie yg ku dengani main clay told me about.."My mom stay with her boyfriend..bla bla bla..we got a 32 inch Plasma TV bla bla bla.." and some other words yg nda ku tercatch..hahaha and suddenly ia betanya aku "If you become a teacher which class would you like to teach?" So, i told her that.."I want to teach your class.." Yeah, i really want to teach them, they were all so lovely and very well behaved..And I also hang out with this group of boys doing some world map puzzle..harry was the only boy i remember..haha they were sooo talkative..haha we were like sitting there on the mat and tried to complete the puzzle..an hour had passed, now im reluctant to leave the class..awwww

After spending an hour there..we were brought by the head teacher and there was an assembly before the juniors entered classes after play time..so, mrs Counsell introduced us to the whole pupils and surprisingly some of them know where Brunei was when Mrs Counsell ask them that..^^ pretty bright kids ehh..then, we were up to year 6 class next..we gotta introduced ourselve again in the class..apanah?aku jadi "Ms Siabu" and wana jadi "Ms Lakat"..lol kan ketawa plg time atu tp cana jua kan..kata Mrs Counsell pupils mesti panggil teachers by surname if nda macam disrespectful tia..so, we could live with that..lol

So, kami observe year 6 buat aktiviti lagi since Mrs Counsell ambil alih class atu..and there was this girl betanya arah kami "what language do you speak?" and when we said "Malay" ia bgtau ia originally dtg dari Malaysia..Udah ku tanya "Apa Kabar", nda ya tau cakap Malay panya cuz she has been in Uk all her life..so yeah..this girl was kind of fond of us sampai waving2 lgtu when ia balik pakai kerita..hehe Sweet ehh..Probably she was too excited to have some people close to her origin in her school..

And im fond of this bright little boy named Kaia (I have no idea how to spell it..but sebutannya "Kaya" lah catu..haha) He's such a bright and intelligent boy..he preferred to work alone most of the time but i can say all the time cuz he said so to us..Always smiling and have a great courtesy towards the teachers and us and a cute boy too..He's my favourite boy..++

It was totally an exciting day at school..i really cant wait for School Placement now..Hopefully we would go to this Lakeside school for the Placement..Alrighty, im quite sleepy now..until next time..
